On-Site visit in Indonesia to Introduce Recycling Innovators to Key Suppliers

Closed Loop Fashion organized and facilitated a one-week site visit for Fashion For Good and three chemical recyclers – Ambercycle, Infinited Fiber and BlockTexx – to Jakarta, Tangerang, Solo & Semarang in Indonesia, as the first South-East Asian country of the platforms Manufacturing Markets Gateway (MMG) Phase II.

Launch of Indonesia’s Circular Economy Roadmap

On July 3rd, 2024, Indonesia launched its Circular Economy Roadmap at the Green Economy Expo in Jakarta, focusing on five sectors, including textiles, to enhance sustainability and resource efficiency. The textile strategy includes developing infrastructure with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), reducing waste, increasing recycled material use, and improving production efficiency.

Leadership Roundtables during Global Fashion Summit 2024

Closed Loop Fashion participated in the 15th annual Global Fashion Agenda Summit in Copenhagen from May 21-23, joining key leadership roundtables to discuss and strategize on sustainability and circular textile systems. Highlights includes discussions on scaling circular textiles in Cambodia and Vietnam, and establishing a circular system in Indonesia.

Marina Chahboune to become the latest GCFF Steering Committee Member

Our founder, Marina Chahboune has been appointed to the Global Circular Fashion Forum (GCFF) Steering Committee, spearheaded by the Global Fashion Agenda (GFA). The GCFF focuses on boosting local recycling efforts in textile-producing nations. Textile Waste Management Training for Cambodian Garment Factories

As part of the GIZ-initiated project “Textile Waste Improvement Programme For Circularity (WIP4C),” Closed Loop Fashion developed and conducted a customized training session on Textile Waste Management in Phnom Penh in March 2024. The one-day Textile Waste Management training was tailored for all stakeholders, mainly the 21 factories to equip them with better waste management standards.
